Man Beast strongman events was founded in 2013 with our first show taking place in 2014 - running Yorkshire's strongest man. As a fan, Andy Picken had an idea to grow the sport and take this out to audiences who may watch it on television at Christmas, but would never go to watch a live show (unadvertised and normally taking place in car parks or gyms)
Partnering up with Mark Anglesea, a two times Guinness World Record Holder, they both designed shows that could be taken to venues and attractions and offered the crowd the experience of seeing and feeling the energy of live World strongman events such as pulling buses or lifting the famous atlas stones.
This evolved into running shows in a roadshow format taking world's strongest man events out to clients. These took place in retail parks, shopping centres and then full shows which are bought in by venues to add to their events programme and increase footfall.
The Highland Games was a format we developed that has seen fantastic success and we operate this in England after running highland games shows since 2015, adapting classic highland games events with strongman events. This is unique to Man Beast.
Man Beast works with the sports strongest athletes to offer fully managed shows that can be purchased. Shows are trademarked and insured under the man beast brand.
We also work within the growing sport of strongwoman that really resonates with the audience aswell as junior weighlifting clubs that feature in our shows to inspire audiences.
We are now the UK's only strongman roadshow.
